Financial Modeling That Actually Prepares You

Real skills from people who've spent years building models that matter in Australian markets.

We don't promise you'll land a six-figure role right after finishing. What we do promise is that you'll spend six months learning from instructors who've worked through messy forecasts, complex valuations, and budget scenarios that kept them up at night. The goal isn't perfection—it's building the confidence to handle whatever spreadsheet gets dropped on your desk.

Who's Actually Teaching This

Three professionals who've built careers around making numbers tell stories. They're not perfect, and they'll be the first to admit when they've made mistakes along the way.

Budget Analysis

Her background is in government and nonprofit work where budgets are tight and stakeholders ask hard questions. Sienna teaches you how to explain your numbers to people who don't speak finance.

Mitchell Brent instructor profile

Mitchell Brent

Valuation Methods

Mitchell's worked with both startups and established firms. He knows that valuation isn't just formulas—it's judgment calls backed by solid reasoning. Expect lots of real examples and fewer textbook theories.

How We Actually Run Classes

Classes meet twice weekly over video for six months starting September 2025. Each session runs about two hours. You'll work through actual case studies—sometimes things go smoothly, sometimes you hit roadblocks and have to rethink your approach. Office hours happen every Thursday evening if you're stuck or just want feedback on something you're working on. Our instructors respond to questions within a day, usually sooner. No automated responses, just real people who remember what it's like to feel lost in a spreadsheet at midnight.

Questions People Usually Ask

What technical background do I need before starting?

+

You should be comfortable with Excel basics—formulas, pivot tables, that sort of thing. If you've worked with financial statements before, even just reading them, that helps. We're not expecting CFA candidates. We've had accountants, business analysts, even a couple career changers who did their homework beforehand.

How much time should I plan to spend outside of class?

+

Most people spend between 8 and 12 hours weekly on assignments and projects. Some weeks are heavier than others. We try to be realistic about workload—our participants often have full-time jobs. That said, if you can only spare three hours a week, you'll probably struggle to keep up.

What software and tools do you use in the program?

+

Mostly Excel and Google Sheets. Occasionally we'll look at Python for data manipulation, but that's optional. We focus on tools you'll actually use in most finance roles. Some of the newer BI platforms get mentioned, but the core work happens in spreadsheets because that's still what most businesses rely on.

Can I get support if I fall behind or miss a session?

+

Sessions are recorded so you can catch up. And like I mentioned, Thursday office hours are open to everyone. If you're falling behind consistently, one of the instructors will reach out to see what's going on. We'd rather help you course-correct than watch you struggle quietly.

What happens after the program ends?

+

You get access to all course materials for another year. The private discussion group stays active—past participants still post questions and share job leads. We don't have a formal job placement service, but instructors are happy to review your resume or have a chat about career moves. Some people stay in touch for years afterward.

Getting Started in September

Our next cohort begins September 8, 2025. Classes run Monday and Wednesday evenings, 6:30 to 8:30 PM AEST. We cap enrollment at 24 people so instructors can actually know who you are.

Application Process

Fill out the form on our contact page. We'll schedule a 20-minute call to talk about your background and what you're hoping to get from the program. Not an interrogation, just making sure it's a good fit for both sides.

Early Registration

Applications open July 1, 2025. If you apply by July 20, you save 0 on tuition. Spots usually fill by mid-August, so earlier is better.

Payment Options

You can pay in full or split it into three installments over the first three months. We work with Australian payment providers, so no currency conversion headaches.

Technical Requirements

You'll need a laptop with Excel installed and a stable internet connection for live sessions. That's about it. We're not running high-end simulations here.
