Who Actually Works Here

Most of our team came from corporate finance roles where they spent too much time in meetings and not enough time doing actual analysis. We're the kind of people who genuinely enjoy debugging circular references at 3pm on a Tuesday.

The work environment is pretty straightforward. We have weekly model review sessions where everyone shares what they're working on. There's usually coffee involved and honest feedback about approach choices.

What matters here is whether you can take a complicated business situation and turn it into a model that actually helps someone make a decision. And whether you're willing to explain your logic when someone questions your WACC calculation.

How People Develop Here

1

First Six Months

You'll start by working on components of larger models under guidance. This might be building out revenue schedules, setting up depreciation logic, or structuring debt waterfalls. The goal is getting comfortable with our model standards and learning how we document assumptions.

2

Year One to Two

At this stage, you're owning smaller projects independently. Building three-statement models for mid-sized businesses, conducting sensitivity analyses, creating executive presentations. You'll start participating in client meetings and explaining technical details to non-finance stakeholders.

3

Senior Level

Now you're handling complex valuations, designing model frameworks for unique situations, and mentoring newer team members. You'll make judgment calls on methodology choices and defend your approach to experienced CFOs who will definitely challenge your assumptions.

How the Process Works

Initial Chat

We'll talk through your background and walk through a recent project you've worked on. We want to understand how you approach problems and what kind of work interests you.

Technical Assessment

You'll get a modeling case study to complete at home. It's based on a real client situation with actual business complexity. We're looking at both technical execution and how you communicate your assumptions.

Team Discussion

Present your case study work to a few team members. We'll dig into your methodology choices and discuss alternative approaches. This is where we see how you respond to feedback and defend your logic.

Final Meeting

Meet with our director to discuss fit, expectations, and answer any questions you have about the role. If it's a mutual match, we'll put together an offer and get you started.
